Chinese steelmakers seek to raise HRC export quotes to Southeast Asia

Recently, the Chinese steelmakers have sought to raise the export quotes of hot rolled coil (HRC) to reach US$645~US$650/ton FOB to Southeast Asia, up by US$5~US$10/ton from the quotes in early March.

In fact, the steelmakers have faced difficulties to gain orders in Southeast Asian markets after the export quotes surged to US$640/ton FOB in early March.

It's said that the demands from South Korea and Thailand have kept sluggish and the Vietnamese buyers have taken wait-and-see attitude towards the market.
